Zombie Apocalypse Scavenger Hunt Promotes Disaster Preparedness

Zombie-clad students roamed CSUN’s campusĀ on Tuesday during the 2nd annual Zombie Apocalypse Preparedness Scavenger Hunt. The event promotes disaster preparedness and gave students an opportunity to gather a variety of free emergency supplies from campus departments.

In 1994, Northridge suffered an earthquake with a 6.7 magnitude. Given the lack of recent earthquakes, it would seem Northridge is due for a tremor, which leaves some individuals on edge.
The mudslides that struck the Antelope Valley area on October 15th, 2015 were violent, sudden, and devastating to those living in the areas affected.
Over 250 CSUN students completed the scavenger hunt, building preparedness kits. Over 70% of the participating students were building their very first emergency preparedness kit.
